2112: A universe where interdimensional time travel is possible and global warming has destroyed the Earth, humanity has moved to another dimension on a planet that's much like Earth... except for all the dinosaurs.

CRESCENT LAKE, CA: A sleepy, small town in Northern California has suffered from decades of tragedy, mostly centered around Lake Crescent and its campgrounds. Though they're able to cover up most of their sins, there's someone out there in the woods that hasn't forgotten. Someone that's willing to do anything to uncover them. Someone with an axe.

BESTIAL

LUNAIRE UNIVERSITY: A small college nestled in the forests of Northern Minnesota, the average school is everything but: Lunaire, Minnesota happens to be the largest hub of supernatural creatures in the United States. Where witches, werewolves, the occasional vampire, and other supernatural types are able to (relatively) roam free. At least until the Dean cum coven leader winds up dead with DEATH TO WITCHES written in blood next to her body...

LUNAIRE SOCIETY

LUNAIRE UNIVERSITY: Alternate, non-supernatural verse using the Lunaire setting, the LUSPR are a group of like-minded individuals dedicated to the pursuit of one thing: proving the existence (or absence) of the paranormal. Able to travel the western United States with funding from the University, the Lunaire Society are on call for those experiencing hauntings or other unexplainable events!

NECROPOLIS

2019: A universe where the zombie apocalypse is upon us, some survivors have made a camp in the Flamingo Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Living in relative safety within the casino walls, the situation becomes dire when member Becks allows a group traveling from California inside. With brand new personalities in the mix, the cracks start to show in their tenuous society, and soon the survivors must contend with their very first murder (it was manslaughter, but still).

SOUTHBOUND

BOOT HILL, AZ: There is a small, dusty town in the desert of Arizona. It lies on the side of a nameless highway. It hides many secrets: how to get there, where it is, what lives in the Amen mountains, if it's even real. The biggest of all: why no one is allowed to leave. For the citizens of Boot Hill, those questions don't matter anymore. For newcomers, it soon won't matter either. Why would you want to leave? Boot Hill is home now. Boot Hill has you now, and they'll never let you go.

UNTIL DAWN

RIP JOEY RYAN: One year after the death of Joey Ryan at a cabin in the woods, her rag-tag group of friends return to celebrate her life. What those friends don't know is that two of them are celebrating her death. What is supposed to be a weekend of fun turns into horror once again, this time bigger and better than ever before.

USS HELENA

2186: A universe where space has been colonized, a skeleton crew on the soon retired USS Helena receive a transmission from a space station that disappeared long ago. After voting, the crew decides to follow the call to hopefully discover the remains of the Ambrosia and save the Helena from retirement.

The compound/town setting for the verse named ALIA TERRA. Located on an Earth-like planet in a different universe, Alia Terra is the new home for humanity. Humans, however, have to share it with the dinosaurs natural to it. Most of the population lives in the Alia Terra compound, though a small group known as the outsiders live in Outpost 7, the majority of whom were exiled from Alia Terra.

The town setting for the verse named SOUTHBOUND. In its CANON VERSE, Boot Hill is a town in Arizona located off of a highway called the Southbound. The town has one special quality to it, that being anyone who enters it cannot leave. Whether it is a liminal space, purgatory, hell, or anything else is unknown. In its SECONDARY, NORMAL verse, Boot Hill is simply a dying town in the Arizona desert. Canonical home to MacClean (Sonny, Courtney, Eoin, and Maite) family and Kim Liu.

crescent lake, california

A small town in Northern California, on the outskirts of the Lake Tahoe area, the setting for the verse AXED. A semi-popular destination for skiing in the winter and lakeside vacations in the summer, the majority of the town is centered around the Lake Crescent Campgrounds and its half-moon shaped lake. Unfortunately, that same lake has lots of tragedy surrounding it, including the Thomanian Cult mass suicide in 1972 and the Crescent Lake Campers Disappearance of 1989. In its CANON VERSE, the third major tragedy is yet to begin, with a madman carrying an axe beginning their murdering spree. In its SECONDARY, NORMAL VERSE, Crescent Lake is a simple small town based off its campgrounds business.

encantadora, california

A small beach town on the coast of California, the charmingly named town seems like it would be paradise. Unfortunately, it's actually the small town murder capital of the west coast, due to the high criminal activity that plagues its streets. Overrun by a motorcycle club and a vicious gang, the local police force, headed by Captain Rick Kelleher, has tried to clean up the town with little success. Canonical home to the Kelleher family (Rick and Minnie), Barbie Goodwin, Heidi Allshouse, and the cousins Daniel and Zachary Choi.

The Lake Crescent Campgrounds is an all-season camping resort in Crescent Lake, California. Located within a short drive to skiing and hiking, the Lake Crescent Campgrounds is popular in any season. Formerly a summer camp, it was closed in the late 80s and then bought in the early 2000s to be converted into a resort. Many cabins from the summer camp have been repurposed and renovated to accommodate guests as well as newly built structures for larger groups. Each guest cabin comes fully furnished, as well as empty lots for those that prefer to stay lakeside in an RV.

lunaire, minnesota

The college town setting for the verse BESTIAL, situated deep in the woods of Northern Minnesota, a few short miles away from the Canadian border. Surrounded by lakes and bisected by the Rainy River, the town is mostly based around Lunaire University, both named after the influential Lunaire family that founded the college and the town. In its CANON VERSE, Lunaire is a major hub for the supernatural community, due to the founding family being a legacy of werewolves. Though most of the community consists of werewolves, witches, vampires, banshees, hunters, and ghosts, a small part is still human—some aware and some unaware of the monsters that live among them. In its SECONDARY, NORMAL VERSE, much is the same except the supernatural doesn't exist.

Lunaire University, located in Lunaire, Minnesota, is different from other colleges. While most of it is like any other school, there is one key difference: the majority of the student body consists of supernatural creatures. The founder and its family were werewolves, the Dean and most of the faculty are witches (along with the Omega Beta Zeta sorority), campus security and the town cops are hunters, and the students can be anything from a human to a banshee. While there are some humans that attend, they're (mostly) kept in the dark about what truly lurks in the dark on campus. Not to mention the shadowy, secret society called the Order of Birthgrave.CANON VERSE: the Dean was recently murdered in her office, found next to the words DEATH TO WITCHES in blood beside her body. NORMAL VERSE: Lunaire University is a normal college with no supernatural elements, and is often used as a placeholder when a college is to be mentioned in other non-verse threads. PARANORMAL VERSE: Lunaire University is a regular college with a unique club: the Lunaire University Society of Parapsychology Research. Going across the western United States whenever they're called, they are in search for the truth on whether or not there is a life after death.

robichaux, louisiana

A small bayou town, Robichaux is just a tiny smudge on the map of Louisiana. Situated deep in the southeastern swamps, most of the citizens either refuse to move because they don't have enough money or their families have lived there for half a century. Like many small Louisianan towns, there's a rich mystical history to the place, and eventually will deal with a string of murders made in Satan's name. Canonical home to the twins Blair and Darby Winesap, along with their cousins Collie and Abby Winesap.

SATANIC PANIC OR NORMAL

BETA DELTA CHI

ΒΔΧ: BETAS ARE BETTER! If there is a Beta Delta Chi chapter on your college campus, then you're already familiar with their legendary parties and general drunken behavior. The Beta Delta Chis are known across the country as the frat for stupid, drunk student athletes. On the canonical Lunaire University campus, they're a mostly human organization beyond a few werewolves or banshees here and there. Dovid Rabinowitz and Noël Lunaire are known brothers.

CUCUYS MC

California-based outlaw motorcycle club that generally deals in guns, drugs, and extortion. While there are many charters under the Cucuys name, the largest one is still the mother charter from Encantadora. Bitter rivals with the Los Lobos Locos gang, the Cucuys claim to provide protection over Encantadora from gangs like the Lobos (police captain, Rick Kelleher would disagree). Joaquin Velásquez de Luna is a known (recent) member, while Blanca Guerrero Burgos and Barbie Goodwin were at one time associated with late members.

KATIE

There are many Katies. First, Omega Beta Zeta President and the best friend/ring leader of Lisa Liddell and Desiree Njie. Second, Boot Hill heartbreaker and an instrumental part of Sonny MacClean and Kim Liu's breakup in high school. Third, the placeholder name of a female character mentioned in various threads.

LOS LOBOS LOCOS

California-based criminal gang that generally deals in guns, drugs, boosted cars, and property. Though they're mostly based out of Los Angeles, there's a heavy gang presence in Encantadora a few hours up north and many other cities along the west coast. Particularly violent, they're half-street gang and half-white collar criminal enterprise. Bill Lim and Miguel de Graeve are known members, while Hector Ibáñez has worked for the Lobos unofficially from time to time. Engaged in a longstanding turf war with the Cucuys MC, their battle has brought a lot of strife and grief to Encantadora with no sign of ceasing any time soon.

MURDERWATCH.COM

Online website dedicated to all things true crime. Featuring articles about ongoing and closed cases, mostly dealing with serial killers, murderwatch.com is the premier place to get all of your morbid news. Particularly focused on the cases of the Biloxi Butcher and the Nevada Farmhouse Massacre, many of the articles submitted were written by former political journalist, Luther Jung.

OMEGA BETA ZETA

ΩΒΖ: A prolific sorority among various college campuses, the Omega Beta Zeta sisters are focused primarily on philanthropy, with a heavy dose of partying on the side. A bit classier than their Beta Delta Chi frat counterparts, many OBZ sisters go on to achieve their wildest dreams. On the canonical Lunaire University campus, the Omega Beta Zeta sorority doubles as a coven that worships the biblical Eve. Lisa Liddell, Desiree Njie, and their best friend/sorority president are members of the Stanford or Lunaire University chapter depending on the verse the thread is taking place in.

ORDER OF BIRTHGRAVE

Bestial-specific secret society on the Lunaire University campus. Incredibly secretive, obviously, the society is a front for a coven that worships death and utilizes demonic magic. Despite using magic themselves, they hate supernatural creatures and wish to start a civil war that will hopefully eliminate all their enemies and end the supernatural presence in Lunaire for good.
